DTF (Direct-to-Film) is a printing technology used to transfer designs or images onto fabric or other surfaces using specialized films. The two main types of DTF films are hot peel and cold peel films.
The biggest difference is obviously peeling time: hot peel film needs only a few seconds before peeling the film, when cold peel film needs to cool down first. Hot peel DTF films have a shorter application time compared to cold peel films. Once the design is pressed with heat, the film is peeled off immediately, reducing the overall production time. Both films can produce high-quality images, but there may be a slight difference in color vibrancy. The longer cooling period may also impact ink absorption to some extent.
